MayzyArt Challenge #003

The theme for this challenge is:
Black!

I was so excited to see all of your colorful creations in our last challenge, so now it's time for something a little different.  You may not have noticed, but I have a distinct appreciation for the stark simplicity of black on white and black is one of my favorite colors. What does it evoke for you?  A dark night?  A cat crossing your path?  Maybe that perfect little black dress?  Show us with your creations for this challenge!

Let's start by seeing what the ever awesome MayzyArt Design Team came up with...

Shari

Darlene

Jo

Lisa

Shelby

JoAnn

Let's review the rules...

- The MayzyArt Challenge is open to anyone!  All you have to do is create a card or paper craft project that matches the challenge's theme.  It does not have to use a MayzyArt stamp.

- In order to enter, post a link to your blog post featuring the project.  Please be sure that you list on that post that you wish to enter the project into the MayzyArt Challenge.

- There will be two winners of the MayzyArt Challenge!  The first winner will be drawn at random from all entrants.  That winner will receive 3 MayzyArt stamps of their choice.  The second winner will be chosen only from those entrants that used a MayzyArt stamp in their project.  It will be selected specifically by Mayzy and will be featured for the following two weeks on this blog.  That winner will also receive 5 MayzyArt stamps of their choice!

- Entries must be received by Friday, June 29.  The winner will be announced on June 30.

There you have it.  Pretty straight-forward, eh?  Have fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Hey kiddos,

Lisa, from the MayzyArt Design Team, has recently posted this great tutorial using a MayzyArt stamp.  It's got some good hints on color combinations for skin tone.  Check it out!

Gorgeous Ghoulish Girl!

What, you thought I was done with the Halloween theme? Oh ho ho! Not by a long shot! Introducing the first of the line of Ghoulish Gals...

Total Talent

Hey there!

I know I've been pretty bad about updating the blog with your creations lately, and the reason for this is two-fold.  Firstly, I haven't been getting as many of late, since so many are being submitted as Challenge entries.  That's super exciting but be sure to keep sending me your non-entry creations!  Secondly, I'm afraid I've been putting in a lot of time at my 'real job', which hasn't left me much freedom for drawing, updating or much else.  :o(  This makes me sad but, alas, as much as I adore MayzyArt, it's not quite enough to pay the rent.  (...yet?)

So I hope y'all will forgive my tardiness and keep those examples coming!  I have a special folder in my inbox that they all go into and I promise that, if you've sent me an email, they will all get featured! (...eventually...)

A beautiful card by Karen from Feline Creative.  I absolutely love pink and brown as a color combination.  It totally makes me think of delicate French chocolates...

This beauty was made by Wench at scrapping.no.  How super clever is it that she used Shawna on a pocket card filled with tea??

Finally a fun card created by Camilla at Flowerets' Blogg.  Aren't the screw heads clever?  She also has another one up with the Lion Tamer stamp that has been entered in the most recent MayzyArt Challenge.  Be sure to take a peek!

New Stamp: Higher Window

Hey y'all!

A little break from the Halloween theme (very little) to bring you a stamp that was inspired by listening to too much Josh Groban.  Enjoy!

And because the world can always use more music...

More from Deonna

Hiya Sunshines!

Yesterday I made a post showing off some of the great cards made by Deonna from For the Love of Cardmaking.  She's a busy bee and has made a number of other beautiful cards using MayzyArt Stamps, so I thought it would be fun today to show you a few more.  Be sure to check out her blog and have a giggle at her jumping monkey. :o)

This card was submitted as her entry into the first MayzyArt Challenge, but it's worth another peek!  I'm a big fan of the color yellow!

I love the clever use of the sparkly plant... thing... on this one.  I may not know what it is, but I know I like it!

If you don't recognize this little girl, she was the exclusive freebie for the month of May, so I'm afraid she's not available anymore.  But hit the shop today and don't miss out on the fun freebie for June!

Picnic Kids Cards

Hey folks,

Remember that write-up on MayzyArt Stamps in the latest Through the Craftroom Door magazine?  I mentioned that subscribers had access to three exclusive MayzyArt stamps; a pack that I personally referred to as the Picnic Kids.  Well Deonna over at For the Love of Cardmaking has done a simply awesome job coloring not one, not two, but all three of them!
